Dr. Bira has delivered video therapy by choice since 2014 as it is convenient and effective. She uses HIPAA-compliant, secure, video meeting technology that is accessible from desktops and all smart devices. No software download needed—just click and join from the privacy and comfort of your own space. Research has demonstrated that video sessions are equally as effective as in-person sessions, and often even more so, as they’re much easier to attend.
Dr. Bira collaborates with a top-tier VR technology company to integrate VR exposure therapy for clients with anxiety and fears to many situations. Each client is sent a headset they can keep. VR exposure has been shown to be just as effective as in-person exposure, and often more so, as it can be done anytime, anywhere.
By choice, and as a specialized, doctoral-level provider, Dr. Bira operates as a private-pay, out-of-network behavioral health provider, meaning that insurance can’t be taken upfront (click HERE to read about why and what to do instead). However, Dr. Bira does accept Health Savings and Flex Spending Plan payment, and out-of-network insurance reimbursement may be possible (Dr. Bira is happy to help you submit this request).
